Trouble Briggy

Brig is such an active and adventurous boy! He is getting to where he thinks he is big already. A few weeks ago he burned his arm on our friends wood stove. It looked bad to, but it wasn't as bad as Hailey's fingers when she got them caught in my treadmill. It doesn't look great though. Yesterday as he was trying to climb onto the table the chair he was on tipped over and he face planted on the floor. My poor Brig! I knew it looked bad because blood was dripping on the floor before I picked him up. He split his lip on the inside and had a bloody nose. Poor little guy. I wish I could prevent him from climbing. I had all of the chairs pushed in so that he couldn't get on the table but that was the reason the chair tipped over. This is definitely not my favorite age.

what a little stinker! I am definitely dreading the climbing stages with Rowan. And the crawling for that matter. Then I have to vaccuum more often, LOL. He is SO cute though!

Are you sure that's your toddler on the table, not mine?
Looks like the "look-alike" baby of yours is just as much trouble as mine.......maybe 2 months behind getting into things though.

Goodby to Jasper

Around 5 our neighbor knocked on our door and showed me that Jasper was laying in the road in front of our house dead. :( I'm so sad. I'm going to miss him. He was my faithful running companion. On Monday when we ran his fur was covered with frost when we got back because it was so cold. I got him so food and petted him and told him what a great running friend he is. He was such a smart dog he knew all of the turn around points when I would run. He would stop and wait for me at every one of them and if I kept going he would lick my leg and then keep running with me. I hate to be licked and he would always sneak and lick me whenever possible. Every time I was getting into the van he would lick my jeans. I always felt safe running with him because people are so scared of him and I know he would have protected me if I'd needed it. Yesterday my little Brig turned 1! Seattle and Gratitude....a life lesson

On the 28th of December we left for Seattle. My BIL Trevor was getting married. We were all excited to go and planned to stay a few extra days to see some of the sights. On the 30th Trevor was married and Shawn (another BIL) took a really nice pic of the fam at the temple with our digital camera. I also captured a few really adorable shots of Brig. Our kids were so well behaved on the trip that wherever we went we were complimented on them. This definitely made me feel pretty good. On the 31st we went to the Space Needle and Pacific Science center. I am extremely afraid of heights and decided not to pay to be tortured so I stayed on the ground with Brig while Tyler and the rest of the kids went up to the top.
