Mothers Day this year was really a great day. I decided this year to have no expectations. In years past I've always had my hopes up that Tyler would be more helpful like my dad. Every year I'd end mothers day grumpy and disappointed. This year I decided would be better. I woke up on Mothers Day and felt so thankful for every one of my kids. They each made me special little gifts. Spencer even found a rock from his collection and made it into a worry rock for me. I told Tyler what I wanted a little over a week before Mothers day and he went and bought it for me :D Other than the gifts my day was the same as ever other day. No one helped me cook or clean, now normally I'd be pretty mad, but this year I decided that it didn't really matter. Today we skipped 1/2 the day of school so I could take the kids to Shoshone falls. Right now the falls are really full and I knew it would be awesome for them to see! It was so neat. You could see a rainbow in the air from all of the humidity coming off of the falls. It was definitely worth skipping school for. I really enjoyed the morning with the kids.

Last week it snowed. All winter long Hailey and Ethan had been asking me to build a snowman with them. We tried once before but the snow was too dry. This time I could tell it was a good heavy wet snow so we went out. It was so easy to build and the kids thought it was great fun! It snowed again the next day and Tyler took them out and built another one :D I didn't get a pic of it though. It is funny how fast the weather changes it is a beautiful spring day today.

I've needed up update for quite some time. At the end of February I let Hailey get her ears pierced. She has been asking for awhile. I was going to make her wait until she turns 8, but I figured she wasn't going to change her mind so I took her. She was so brave, I was surprised. She didn't even cry! On March 4th Hailey turned 6! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like yesterday I just took my little girl home from the hospital. I sure love my beautiful little girl. I actually bought Hailey's cake from Stokes. I am not usually a fan of store bought cakes but it was the best store bought cake I've ever eaten. I loved it so much that I enjoyed a piece for my breakfast the next day as well. For spring break we went to Utah for 5 days. It was so fun to just relax and visit my family. Brig is such an active and adventurous boy! He is getting to where he thinks he is big already. A few weeks ago he burned his arm on our friends wood stove. It looked bad to, but it wasn't as bad as Hailey's fingers when she got them caught in my treadmill. It doesn't look great though. Yesterday as he was trying to climb onto the table the chair he was on tipped over and he face planted on the floor. My poor Brig! I knew it looked bad because blood was dripping on the floor before I picked him up. He split his lip on the inside and had a bloody nose. Poor little guy. I wish I could prevent him from climbing. I had all of the chairs pushed in so that he couldn't get on the table but that was the reason the chair tipped over. This is definitely not my favorite age. This is her favorite spot. She sits on our front porch, I like to think she is guarding us :) When we pull into the garage she comes into greet us so this is the next pic. She was so good I told her to sit and she did.
